Cedarwood Landscaping, Inc. was established in 1984. With a life long love of the outdoors, President J. Scott Mortensen, APLD believes that creating and working within great gardens not only enhances his professional life but more importantly is also a lot of fun and personally satisfying. Scott graduated from County College of Morris in 1986 with an Associates Degree in Applied Science in Landscape Design and Management, and is also a Certified Professional Member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD). With a passion for creating functional and enjoyable landscapes, and a sincere commitment to providing excellence in customer service, the foundation for this quality company was established. Surrounding himself with dedicated employees, each with the same dedication, desire and passion for creating and maintaining beautiful landscapes, as well as providing superior customer service, he was able to form a very strong and committed team. This atmosphere has allowed Cedarwood Landscaping, Inc. to create long term relationships with employees, clients and suppliers. Under Scott’s leadership, Cedarwood Landscaping, Inc. has grown from a small, seasonal business to a well respected year round operation. As a recipient of numerous awards for his landscape designs and installations, the gratification he receives from satisfied clients is foremost in his purpose. Creating self sustaining gardens in addition to procuring, installing, and maintaining top quality landscapes combines great people with great gardens.
