Do you offer any discounts?

Even though Cedarwood offers competitive pricing, negotiating with vendors for a discounted rate is most effective when large quantities of materials are required.

Combining projects enables us to negotiate more effectively with our vendors, which enables us to pass these savings on to our customers. Working efficiently as possible allows us to keep our costs low.

If you are shopping for the lowest price and quickest install, we are probably not the company for you as we concentrate on value, quality installations and long term relationships.

How do I know the pesticides you are using are safe for my family and pets?

We are licensed applicators who firmly believe in first providing sound horticultural practices: Right plant, in the right place, planted and maintained as close to its natural environment as possible. Confirming that these practices have been followed will be the determining factor in any applications.

If an application is warranted we begin with a gentle approach, and apply as per the manufacturers’ specifications to meet your goals while minimizing impact on our environment.

Why isn't your company listed in the phone book?

We are not volume contractors, we are quality contractors and our best reference is by word of mouth. This gives our prospective customers an advantage of knowing that they are speaking with a company, who stands behind their work, and is looking for a long term relationship with you.

Do you charge for estimates?

We need to be compensated for providing these services. That does not mean that each time you call us for a price quote, you will receive a bill. Considerations such as project location, scope, our length of time working with you, etc. are determining factors of a billable estimate. Should a bill for an estimate be warranted, you will be notified in advance, allowing you ample time to make a decision as to how to proceed.

We travel frequently and would like someone to maintain our home. What type of services do you offer?

The deer are eating everything! What can I do?

Cedarwood takes your area into consideration and installs plants that deer are less likely to eat.We also offer pest spraying services that deter deer, rabbit, and other pests from causing damage to your landscape and minimize your exposure to tick-born diseases. An actual barrier is the best way to help minimize damage to your property. We can also help with installation of standard and custom fencing options to protect your landscape investment is an effective solution in terms of deer control.

My plantings always seem to require so much water.What alternatives can Cedarwood provide?

First we begin to see if the right plant is planted in the right place and if the basic cultural requirements are being addressed. Should supplemental irrigation be necessary we would recommend a drip system as it is far less expensive to run and much more environmentally friendly than traditional systems.We also offer rain water harvesting systems.

Water features are so beautiful, but because of evaporation, aren’t they using water wastefully?

Not necessarily. Cedarwood specializes in water retention systems that help capture the runoff from your downspouts. This water is then stored and used to supplement or completely operate, your water feature.
